Will the election of President Obama change poetic works for 2009? Hiphop? A change of mind for America?
That's right, the questions say it all. I've been flooded with emails to get some feedback on this topic and so that's what we're going to do.I'm calling a Universal Circle on the issue that will be posted in the Feb. Issue of Lyrics, Inc. Considering the poetic presentation of the inaugural event I can't say I'm sure it will.
Personally I don't even think he's aware of today's contemporary Spoken Word. Although I hope he will become aware soon. This is the genre he should be supporting more than any other.
If you want to know what a nation feels you should seek out it's poetry. For WE are the heart and soul of America. The true voice of the people.
