About UniverSouLove
Christopher Donshale Sims is UniverSouLove. A writer of poetry, spoken word performer, collaborator, open mike host, and song writer. UniverSouLove breathes life into microphones and creatively captures images on paper. A performance artist since 1985, this poet is focused, serious, and magical. Born and raised in Rockford, IL, UniverSouLove has traveled all across the States and to Canada to perform. He's been a featured poet at The Poets Den (Washington, DC), the Chicago Poetry Festival (Chicago, IL), and When Brothers Speak (Toronto, Canada). UniverSouLove is back at hosting again, with the upcoming venue Poetry For The Soul (See events) and Poetry Out Loud - a high school poetry recital competition with finals held in Washington, DC.

i want to be beautiful
beautiful like morning dew
on the tips of green spring grass
with special sparkle.

as beautiful as a baby’s smile
