Very quiet outside, but loud inside.

Otherwise, my name is laurence and I'm new to the art of spoken word poetry. Undoubtedly, I can say, it's the one thing I never want to miss out on. I have diarrhea of the mouth when it comes to online conversations, friendships, acquaintances, what have you, but I hope to change that here. Feel free to message, comment, or add me. I don't bite, literally anyways.

I enjoyed writing these and felt that I could do better. When Princess Di died, i wrote a poem for her. After 9/11, all the emotions broke through the levies.

I do the Carroll Gardens reading once a month on Tuesday and will keep the Park Slope one once a month on Saturday starting in September. I'm not doing anything in Park Slope for August. It's an open mic with at least 2 featured poets, usually from the NY Tri-State area. I produce an anthology using work those who are regular attendees and now will include featured readers from 2008 for the 2009 issue.
