"Mushroom Clouds" by Lovely Brown (lovelybrnfemale)
Self -- Impressed With Honesty…
Is being Momentous
Like Brand New…. I still feel the wrath of my campaign
I have been reminiscing
On the beauty of over-comings
On the fear of losing
On the joy of winning…
The love my life
Feels like beautiful gospel
Candy rainbows and
Bags of sweet feed fertilizing equity…
Fertilizing virtue I know my truths
And convictions will never stray
I know that the love we have will always remain
That on the dock of the bay
we will write together
A marriage that represents the couple of the century
That internet connects are not to pimp out their poetry
And that love affairs lost their juice
While swingers impregnating lies to defuse the truth
Therefore the template for our youth has broken
But spoken word is a religion to be used to uplift
Just As word can kill… Word can save lives
As Word for jury sent humanity to death row
Yet we have bestowed into airwaves frauds
With fake profiles to bate t...
Atlanta, Georgia (CNN) -- Georgia officials have agreed to exhume the body of the ex-fiancé of a "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member to get a second look at what may have caused his death.
A.J. Jewell died after a fight with another man in the parking lot of an Atlanta strip club in October, police said.
Fredrick Richardson was arrested on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.
Police originally said Jewell died from blunt force trauma, but a medical examiner reported that sickle cell disease also contributed to his death.
Relatives pushed for the exhumation and a second autopsy, saying Jewell did not have sickle cell and they believe there were other circumstances leading to his death.
"Whenever a family has to exhume the body of a loved one, it's a difficult, difficult decision to make," family spokesman Markel Hutchins said. "But I think it displays a great deal of courage and commitment on the part of this family toward truth and justice."
Jewell's father, t...
(CNN) -- Oprah Winfrey knows how to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
In the last 10 minutes of her show, Winfrey confirmed that she will be ending her syndicated "Oprah Winfrey Show" in September 2011.
"After much prayer and months of careful thought, I thought that next season, season 25, will be the last season of 'The Oprah Winfrey Show,' " she told the audience.
"You may hear a lot of speculation in the press about why I'm making this decision now, and I wanted you to hear it from me," she said. "Twenty-four years ago on September 8, 1986, I went live from Chicago to launch the first show. I was beyond excited, and a little nervous."
Winfrey remained calm after her announcement, even when guest Ray Romano joked that she was going to make this is his mother's saddest and happiest day by simultaneously having Romano on and confirming the Oprah era had come to an end.
"I knew what a miraculous opportunity I had been given, but I certainly couldn't have im...

CNN) -- South African runner Caster Semenya will be allowed to keep the gold medal she won in the women's 800-meters at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, Germany, in August, the country's sports ministry announced Thursday.
In a statement on their official Web site the ministry added that Semenya had been found innocent of any wrongdoing but the widely anticipated results of gender tests conducted would not be made public.
"We have agreed with the IAAF that whatever scientific tests were conducted legally within the IAAF regulations will be treated as a confidential matter between patient and doctor," the statement read.
"As such there will be no public announcement of what the panel of scientists has found. We urge all South Africans and other people to respect this professional ethical and moral way of doing things."
The world governing body for athletics, the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), have refused to comment on the annou...
Working Mother magazine reports 2.2 million mothers in the U.S. do not have primary custody of their children. And the magazine reports that, over the past decade, the number of fathers awarded custody of their children has doubled. But some wonder whether the statistics suggest that women who work as breadwinners for their families are now being punished for it. Working Mother Editor-in-Chief Suzanne Riss is joined by regular parenting contributor and author Leslie Morgan Steiner and Shauntese Curry Trye, a Baltimore-based family attorney.

CNN has announced that it will replace the freshly departed Lou Dobbs with veteran White House correspondent and State of the Union host John King. The new political show will begin airing next year in the 7 p.m. ET timeslot.
The network promises a "definitive political hour that goes well beyond the surface of the day?s top stories to provide in-depth analysis and context to key political movements in Washington and across the nation."
King has been with CNN since 1997 and played a large role in the network's Peabody Award-winning coverage of the 2008 election.
New York (CNN) -- CNN's Lou Dobbs is leaving the network at the end of his show Wednesday night, the controversial anchor and commentator announced on the broadcast.
"Over the past six months, it has become increasingly clear that strong winds of change have begun buffeting this country and affecting all of us, and some leaders in media, politics and business have been urging me to go beyond the role here at CNN and to engage in constructive problem-solving as well as to contribute positively to a better understanding of the great issues of our day and to continue to do so in the most honest and direct language possible," Dobbs said during his 7 p.m. broadcast.
NEW YORK - Now that it's over, now that the parade has been canceled and there is no championship left to defend, the Phillies have to be honest with themselves.
Did they trip over their own shoelaces in the World Series?
Phillies' Chase Utley heads back to dugout after striking out in the seventh inning.
Or were they simply beaten by a better team?
The suspicion here is that the Phillies and Yankees could keep playing from now until the BCS Championship Game and that New York would win a majority of the time.
In the end, as it always seems to do, it came down to pitching. It always does at this time of the year. And the Yankees were stronger, both in the rotation and the bullpen.
"They outplayed us," said lefthander Cliff Lee. "They deserved it. It's hard to take, but they were better than us this year. It is what it is. You have to tip your cap to them."
Said righthander Brett Myers: "Why did they win? I really couldn't tell you. Maybe the ball was just rol...
Phils' season in Pedro's practiced hands
Up to old tricks, vet looking to force Game 7 vs. Yanks
Andersen on Pedro in Game 6Duration: 00:01:2111.03.09: Pete McCarthy and Larry Andersen discuss Pedro Martinez's upcoming Game 6 startVideo
PHILADELPHIA -- It has come down to this. Pedro Martinez of the Phillies against Andy Pettitte of the Yankees in Game 6 of the World Series on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium.
"Two old goats out there doing the best they can and having fun with it," Martinez said at a news conference on Tuesday's off-day.
With the Phils trailing the best-of-seven series 3-2 after defeating the Yanks, 8-6, on Monday night at Citizens Bank Park, Martinez is back where he wants to be: in a must-win situation for his club Wednesday night at 7:57 ET on FOX.
Win and the Phils will live to fight another day in Game 7 on Thursday night. Lose and the Yankees will have their 27th World Series title. It will be his second start at the new Yankee ...
THEY STAYED LATE into the night - or, rather, early into the morning. First came midnight, then 1 a.m., and then the clock started ticking toward 2. Not all of the players remained, but enough to provide conversation, not just about the unfortuante events that had transpired hours earlier, but about the course of action from that point forward.
Later, as Carlos Ruiz drove home with some friends from his native Panama, navigating South Philadelphia's mostly empty streets, the Phillies catcher spoke words that were similar to the ones that floated through the home clubhouse in the wake of the three-run, ninth-inning rally that had given the Yankees a 3-1 series lead in Game 4 Sunday night.
"It was a little quiet,'' Ruiz said, "but at the same time, I told them, 'It's not over.' Tomorrow I'm going to come back and give 100 percent, and I know my teammates are going to do it too.''
All season, the Phillies have talked of their mental fortitude, of the way they shed ...
The Phillies had 12 winning streaks of three or more games this season.
Do they have one more in them?
The umpires warn the Phils' Joe Blanton and both benches after Blanton plunked Alex Rodriguez in the first inning.
That's what they need to win the World Series after losing Game 4 in excruciating fashion last night.
The Phils fell behind, three games to one, in the Series after the New York Yankees rallied for three runs against Brad Lidge in the top of the ninth to take a 7-4 win.
One slipup and the Phillies season is over.
Or should we say one more slipup?
In a lot of ways, they gave this game away with missed scoring opportunities and a defensive blunder in the ninth inning.
Cliff Lee tries to save the Phils' season tonight when he pitches against A.J. Burnett in the last game of the year at Citizens Bank Park.
While we wait for Game 5, let's take a look back at some of the key moments in Game 4:
Damon steals a win
The Phils got home runs from ...
