Currently on the number 1 ranking slam team in the country two years in a row!, Red Bull Word Clash champion '05-'06, two time Southern Fried Regional Grand Slam Champ, 106&Park and Apollo favorite, one of the most demanded performance poets and lecturers in over 7 countries, 120 colleges and universities; domestic and abroad, it is hard to describe her!
However, you could ask: Louis Farrakan, Kanye West, Floetry, The Roots Crew, the Fair Trade Organization, the National Organization for Women, Black Out, Take Back the Night chapters of Norfolk and DC, Heather Headley if you need to know anything about this Revolutionary, Acvtist, Womanist, Rights Movement organizer.
In addition to her works being nominated for NAACP Award for her contributions in Check the Rhyme, Queen Sheba’s works have been published in several anthologies and periodicals including: The Syracuse University Women in Hip-Hop Feb, The Southern Griot U of South Florida Fall '05, Skipping Stones Anthology of Hampton Roads Poets '04/'05, Vibe and Essence Magazines.
Her national radio and television appearances include but are not limited to, the BBC, BET, VH1, Apollo, Robert Townsend's The Black Family Channel, Clear Channel, Radio-1and Infinity Radio. In addition, Queen Sheba has a cameo in Spit; A major motion picture about the different paths of Spoken Word.
Recently opened a Bed and Breakfast for artists in Atlanta, GA Queen Sheba is the tenured CEO of Oya Xclusive International a record label exclusively for poets founded over 8 years ago and the co-founder of Akoben; Words in Action Poetry Festival in New Orleans, LA the only 6 years and running, International Music and Poetry Festival created for people of color, Queen Sheba is too busy to write her own bio but would love for you to be her friend on My Space!

2nd Sundays Soul Sessions Brunch-Live Music & Writting Word-Shop!

Every 2nd Sunday Below the Radar is partnering with Honeysuckle Moon for a Soul Food session that will fill more than the tummy!
We will be hosting an all-you-can-eat-brunch with a live music artist from 10am-3pm.
After brunch and great music will be the:
Writting Word-Shop from 4-7pm
You MUST RSVP to attend the brunch; The Word-Shop is free and you can just show up, with pen/cil and paper and an open heart, ready to write and share!
You know we all have ADD and will be providing more than just food! You will be able to shop Honeysuckle Moon products, Below the Radar merchandise and we have a massage therapist in house for $1/min massages and chiropractic advise in addition to our live music artist!
Mark your calendars for at LEAST one day a month where you come and do... nothing!
