I'm young. Been writing since about 10 years youngest. Poetry is my life. I love taking pictures, it's quite fun. I like editing pictures or making designs on my computer to go with my poetry, or just the way I feel. I'm trying to make that gwap with my poetry if I can, so hit me up and let me know what you think about it, is it worth a dime? or a quarter? Lol. I'm also a female. I'm Haitian. I'm in school, and I take it VERY seriously. You can find me in school almost all the time, except now. Lol. I'm trying to be a lawyer as well. Poetic Law, mayne. Get it right. Lol. What else can I say? Eh, if you have any questions feel free to hit me up and ask questions. Thanks. ~1~ <3 LJ.

Dearest Moon, Querida Luna, Ma Cher Lune... CHECK IT! I need feedback please.

My dearest Moon, why must you continue to hide In the darkness from the one who begs to be your bride, Yet when she comes to find you, concealed among brightly Shining stars that pull on her attention tightly To distract her from your beauty, you can’t but caress her Nor can you deny yourself the chance to bless her With a radiant light you know she can not resist As she reminisces on the times she swears you kissed Her precious lips before an audience of goddesses and gods Who could only fat… Continue

My little clump of red tissue...

This little clump of red tissue with in my chest Beats and beats under hard conditions but never rests. I wonder why little heart, you keep on going despite it all All of the pain and hurt you sustain. It seems as if there is a wall That protects you. If I did not know better I would assume That you are protected in a fortified tomb Aside from the cage of bones that tried Insufficiently to shield it on every side. I wonder how it is that you continue to beat While being beaten into a fine she… Continue

A few Elements...

ELEMENTS He is like the elements, The simple good in hectic events. The simple things in life I hold dear, What is pure and above all sincere. He is like the gentle rain seeping through my clothes, He's like the placid wind whispering as it blows. Modest as the gallantly colored skies, He's a mystery understood only by the spiritually wise. He is an element, the base of all that lives, More to me, the base of why my heart gives. He's like the warm sun rays that shine upon my body, So… Continue

Shackled by the Saints...

Shackles. They dig into my delicate wrists Hurting more when I clench my hands into fists. I try to play with the lock, picking at it hitting it But not even a tiny mar will the metal permit. I reach out to those who walk past my cage as if I was nothing to bother hassling with Some as if I wasn’t even there, in existence Proving to me that there is a long distance Between humanity and this poor vile Wretch hiding in sorrow while The world tries to forget the incorrigible wrong Of her… Continue

Valid point JL, I guess you're right with the images that we invoke
and the situations/charecters we create.... true indeed. Thanks for the tip....(lol) . Now you said that you failed at your attempts,
no...actually you did'nt. What you've done is created limbs for your story to move around....sometimes even a good title and a few clever sentences and situations can very well put you back in the writers seat. So save the work, even if a few pages that have been scribbled in one of your note books, or a shopping bag.... save it and use it again for the body of the new work. Some great books take several years to write you know.
In the meantime, wishing all the success and blessings! It's good to see that some of our youth are doing positive and amazing things in their lives! I'm starting up a teen poetry group shortly after I get "GHETTOETRY" off the ground and will be putting together a journal of art/ poetry/short shorts/ photogrhaphy
for youths from ages 14 -21 from communities that are lacking cultural diversity in the arts. More on that on myspace.

Blessings

Hey Jay: Thank you for the compliments and encouragement, the writers life is some time a quiet one and an ardous and lonely walk....it's the joy that our words have made someone laugh or to just stop for a moment and to marvel about the intricacies of life. Looking forward and to more of your material, and all the blessings.
